Broken links: Since November, 2005, I have written over 300+ blog entries with 1,000's of corresponding links/URLs for Moving2Italy2, covering a varied and wide range of topics. In the event if you come across a broken link or a non-functioning link/URL, please post a comment and report the non-functional link. I wish to thank you in advance for assisting me in the ongoing maintenance and the updating of this successful and informative blog.

Please note: I do NOT represent or endorse any of these links nor do I receive payment for listing them in my blog.

Please note that there are differences between iPods and MP3 media players. When you download music or a video from a web site, they may NOT be compatible between specific
media, mobile and/or portable devices. For example, "The top consumer complaint at online music service Napster: Songs purchased at Napster won't play on Apple's iPod.". Read the USA Today story above, "Closed systems leave song buyers out in the cold".

You can find out more about these differences by looking at the terms under DEFINITIONS above.

While I have made separated sections and distinctions
above for PODCASTS and MP3, many podcasts are in a MP3 audio format that can be downloaded to an iPod or Mp3 media player. You need to pay particular attention if you are downloading music or a video to an iPod or Mp3 media player.

If anyone has any comments or further clarification about this matter, I solicit your feedback.

Depending on where you are in Italy, the rate charged to access the Internet from an Internet Point or a Cyber Cafe varies. In my travels in Italy in the last 2 years, I have seen rates as low as 3 Euro per hour and as high a 1 Euro per minute. These rates may be charged even if you are using your own laptop instead of a desktop PC at one of these establishments.

One should be aware that if you use a diskette to either download or upload data from one of the PC's located at
an Internet Point or a Cyber Cafe, the desktop may contain a virus, malware or spyware. I would urge you to run an anti-virus scan on any diskette after it had been used at any Internet Point or a Cyber Cafe.

Caveat (warning): Please exercise caution if you use any of these PCs at an Internet Point, a Cyber Cafe or a "free Internet access" location to make reservations or conduct any financial transactions with your credit card. Most of these establishments are reputable but you never know who the last person was who last used the PC you are currently using
at an Internet Point, a Cyber Cafe or a "free Internet access" location. There are keyboard logging programs that can capture your credit card information, password(s) and/or record key strokes without your knowledge and can be retrieved later after you have left one of these establishments.
